HELLO, I’M TRUDY
One of my biggest dreams was to open my own Art Studio. After 10 years teaching at a temporary studio, 2021 was the year to open my own little art studio in the heart of Tarxien.
In 2011, I graduated with a B.A. in Art History from the University of Malta and in 2014 I graduated with Masters in Museum Studies from University of Leicester.
I teach students from the age of five up to A level standard including weekly lectures on Art History to A level students. As from a young age, I aim to promote and teach artistic skills and encourage students to nurture his or her artistic talents. At the same time, I educate my students in a fun artistic way on art appreciation and at the same time gain knowledge on the Great Masters. I believe that art history and art appreciation should walk hand in hand, in order to get inspired and create innovative artwork.
I also offer team building and creative art sessions/workshops offsite and also the studio for companies, parent and child sessions, retreats or any other events. Sessions are open to all ages and material is also provided.
Creativity is the sole part of my artworks, enjoying a combination of different subjects and presenting them with a mixture of design and bright colours whilst trying to find the balance in art between the real and the abstract. I regularly work on private commissions and since 2010 I have donated and sold paintings and also been part of numerous collective exhibitions. Giving away my paintings is a heart breaking moment cause;
‘I am a mother to all of my paintings’
but knowing that they will be appreciated and hanged in a loving suitable place, makes my heart fuller once again.
