This December,Trudy Gera’s Art Studio is bringing back our much-loved Christmas Special Workshop with a brand-new festive creative experience! This year, young artists will explore the colourful art of mosaic, creating their very own Christmas-inspired piece to take home and enjoy.
Children will work on a project suited to their age:
- Ages 5–8: Mosaic Trinket Tray
- Ages 9+: Mosaic Flower Vase
Both projects will take place during the same workshop sessions, so siblings and friends of different ages can attend together while each works on an age-appropriate project.Children aged 9 and above may choose to complete both projects. However, two separate workshop bookings are required, one for each project.
Each workshop lasts 1.5 hours and includes all the materials needed to create a beautiful finished piece.

1. When and where will it be held?
The Christmas Special 2026 will consist of three workshop sessions held at Trudy Gera’s Art Studio in Tarxien. Ages 5–8 will create a Mosaic Trinket Tray, while children aged 9+ will create a Mosaic Flower Vase.You only need to choose your preferred workshop time when booking, the project will automatically be assigned according to your child’s age.

2. Who can participate?
The Christmas Special is open to children aged 5 years and over. No previous art experience is required just an enthusiasm for creating! The activity will be adapted according to age, with younger participants creating a Mosaic Trinket Tray and older participants creating a Mosaic Flower Vase. This means children of different ages can attend the same workshop session, making it ideal for siblings and friends who would like to participate together.
3. What will the workshop consist of?
During this 1.5-hour hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to plan and create their own decorative mosaic-inspired artwork. Ages 5–8 will decorate a trinket tray, while ages 9+ will work on a flower vase. Children will be guided throughout the creative process while still being encouraged to experiment with their own colours, patterns and designs.At the end of the workshop, every participant will have their own unique creation to take home.
4. Which resources are needed?
Nothing! All the materials and resources required for the activity will be provided by the studio and are included in the workshop fee. Participants simply need to bring their creativity and enthusiasm!
5. Can my child participate in this workshop if they are already enrolled in your classes during the year?
Absolutely! The Christmas Special is a separate seasonal workshop from our regular weekly art classes, with a completely different project. Both existing students and children who have never attended the studio before are very welcome to join.
6. What if my child cannot attend on the day?
Workshop bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable. If a participant is unable to attend, their place may be transferred to another child, provided we are informed beforehand. In the case of an emergency health issue, this will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Where applicable, a refund of 50% of the amount paid may be offered.
7. How much will it cost?
Each 1.5-hour workshop costs €25, which includes all materials.
8. Want to create both projects?
Young artists aged 9 years and over have the option to create both the Mosaic Trinket Tray and the Mosaic Flower Vase! As each project requires a separate 1.5-hour session, students wishing to complete both must book two workshops. When completing the application form, simply select two different workshop dates to enjoy both creative experiences! Fee: €25 per workshop (€50 for both projects), including all materials.
